IPL 2022: SRH vs KKR Preview – Hyderabad seek to continue the winning momentum
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will be locking horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 25 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 15. Both teams will be heading into this contest on the back of contrasting results in their respective fixtures. While SRH registered an emphatic eight-wicket win over the Gujarat Titans, KKR went down to the Delhi Capitals by 44 runs.
Having lost their first two games against the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants while chasing, the Orange Army staged a remarkable comeback in the next two matches against the Chennai Super Kings and GT respectively, where their batters, especially the opening duo of Abhishek Sharma skipper Kane Williamson, dominated the proceedings by laying a solid foundation. At the same time, their bowling also seems to be peaking at the right time having restricted the opposition teams to manageable totals.
KKR, on the other hand, were off-colour in the last match against the Delhi Capitals where the bowlers conceded over 200 while only two batters showed resistance during a mammoth chase and that happened to be captain Shreyas Iye,r who scored 54 off 33, and Nitish Rana, who chipped in with a 20-ball 30.
Predicted XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Jagadeesha Suchith will be replacing Washington Sundar, who is expected to miss at least the next two matches after suffering split webbing. Playing with Suchith will be a forced move by the 2016 champions as Sundar is the only proper spinner for the franchise this season.
Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR might make a couple of forced changes by roping in Aaron Finch and Sheldon Jackson ahead of Ajinkya Rahane and Sam Billings, who both have not succeeded much so far.
