ENG vs WI: Tendulkar’s accurate prediction stuns Suryakumar Yadav
The 2nd Test between England and West Indies at Manchester came to a thrilling end on Day 5, with the hosts bouncing back to level the series 1-1. But even before the result panned out as it did, one man had already predicted the course of this exciting Test match.
England managed to get themselves in the driver’s seat with a strong batting performance in their 1st innings. In response to their 469/9, West Indies collapsed on 287. England’s 2nd innings was even better, with an ambitious Ben Stokes going hammer and tongs en route his 78*. Their total of 129/3 meant that the Windies found themselves chasing a target of 312.
The prediction…
On Monday (July 20), batsman Surya Kumar Yadav revealed an interesting conversation that he had with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar just before England’s 2nd innings began.
Was having a chat with @sachin_rt Paaji this morning about the #ENGvWI match & he said that this Test isn’t over & felt England was likely to win and that they’ll set a target of 300. ?
If the Windies have to save this game they would have to really apply themselves! ??— Surya Kumar Yadav (@surya_14kumar) July 20, 2020
As it turned out, West Indies did everything apart from applying themselves and fell like ninepins during the chase. As rightly predicted by the Master, England ended up winning the Test!
The reply
A modest Tendulkar then replied to the Mumbai batsman in his own, cheeky style.
Sometimes I get it right! ?

There is a spring in @StuartBroad8’s walk and I have a feeling that he is out on the field with plenty to show. #ENGvWI
