BCCI confirms India to have Champions Trophy logo on jersey

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put to rest an ongoing controversy regarding the Indian men’s team’s jersey for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. Sticking to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) regulations, the Indian jersey will feature the tournament’s official logo, which includes the name of the host nation, Pakistan.

The ICC has consistently emphasized the importance of uniform obedience with its tournament protocols. As per ICC guidelines, all participating teams must feature the official tournament logo, including the host nation’s name, on their jerseys.

While India’s matches are scheduled to take place in Dubai due to security concerns, Pakistan remains the official host for the prestigious event, scheduled from February 19 to March 9, 2025. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed India to follow ICC guidelines.

“We will follow whatever are the ICC guidelines. We will follow the ICC directive,” Saikia said as quoted by Cricbuzz.
