MI Cape Town clinched their inaugural SA20 title with a 76-run victory over Sunrisers Eastern Cape at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Opting to bat first, MI Cape Town amassed 181 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings were bolstered by significant contributions from Connor Esterhuizen, who scored 39 runs off 26 balls, and Dewald Brevis, who added a quickfire 38 off 18 deliveries.

In response, Sunrisers Eastern Cape struggled against a disciplined bowling attack. Kagiso Rabada was the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for 25 runs.
