Women’s U19 T20 WC Final Preview – India sets its eyes on history as South Africa chases its first title

India Women U19 will lock horns with South Africa Women U19 in the all-important final of the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025. The match is scheduled at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The highly-anticipated fixture will commence on January 2 at noon (IST).
This will be India’s second appearance in the final in as many tournament editions. They have certainly looked for the team to beat in the competition. Four of their victories in this tournament have come via chasing. A comprehensive nine-wicket win against England Women U19 in the semi-final granted India a chance to win the second edition of the tournament too.
As for South Africa, their victories have been marred by rain. Nonetheless, they have been clinical in their outings. Much like India, they have remained unbeaten in the 2025 edition. The South African contingent would be keen on breaking their streak of going down in the summit clash, and hence, bringing home their first women’s title.

The Bayumeas Oval has a total of four surfaces. The final will be played on the deck prepared with the local red soil with ample bounce and help for the pacers. A high-scoring encounter could very well be on the cards.
