SA vs IND, 2nd Test, Day 3, Stats Review: Rabada’s milestone and other stats
The third day of the second Test between South African and India proved to be very eventful. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane both struck fifties and also shared a century partnership. However, Kagiso Rabada brought the home side back into the game with a lethal spell.
Hanuma Vihari’s unbeaten 40 and the contributions from Shardul Thakur, R Ashwin and the tail helped India reach 266. The South Africans enjoyed a good start to their chase of 240 runs. The openers, Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram, were off the blocks quickly. By the end of the day, India did claim two wickets but captain Elgar is still standing strong at the crease.
