5 Top Performers from IND vs WI T20I Series

India had an excellent outing the West Indies as it was pure domination throughout and completed the whitewash with a 3-0 win in the T20I series as well. There was a lot of positives going around for the home side and Rohit Sharma as a captain did tick a lot of boxes. Here are 5 top performers from the T20I series between India and West Indies.

Ravi Bishnoi:

Ravi Bishnoi made his T20I debut in the first game against West Indies and he immediately made an impact with the ball, picking up two wickets for just 17 runs. He continued his good spells in the second and third T20 internationals and is looking like a potent option for the T20 World Cup 2022.

Nicholas Pooran:

Nicholas Pooran had a fantastic series and he managed to hit three half-centuries in three consecutive innings to finish as the highest run-getter in the series. The wicketkeeper-batter came into the series with not much runs under his belt and it was unfortunate that he ended up on the losing side on all three occasions despite batting with intent.

Harshal Patel:

Harshal Patel played an excellent role in the second and third T20I with the ball when the team needed him the most. The all-rounder has just come into international cricket and has already shown a lot of maturity in terms of his variations and bowling to his field. He picked up five wickets in three games to end as the highest wicket-taker for India in the series.

Venkatesh Iyer:

Venkatesh Iyer had a terrific series against West Indies as he stepped up in all three games for India with the bat. Iyer scored 92 runs in the three innings, having been dismissed just once and had a strike rate of 184. He bowled exceptionally in the limited opportunities and has certainly made an excellent impression.

Suryakumar Yadav:

Suryakumar Yadav was in prime form throughout the T20I series and his middle-order contributions led to two victories for India. The right-hander played a valiant knock in the first T20I when he joined hands with Venkatesh Iyer to script an important run chase. He continued his good form in the third T20I with a 31-ball 65 that helped India stage a massive total on board. He was named the Player of the Series as he finished as the leading run-getter for India in the series with 107 runs in three games at an average of 53.50.
