1.Travis Head

Travis Head, who replaced the now-retired former skipper Aaron Finch, had a memorable series. The left-handed batter ended the three matches as the highest run-getter with 240 runs at an average of 80.00 and a strike rate of 111.62 with one century and one fifty. He registered his best ODI score of 152 in the third and final game in Melbourne, for which he also won the Player of the Match award.

2.David Warner

The swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner finished the series as the second-highest run-scorer behind his opening partner, Head.  The southpaw smashed 208 runs in three innings at an average of 69.33 and a strike rate of 102.46 with one hundred and one fifty. He finally ended his century drought as he reached the three-figure mark in the final ODI, his first in 68 international innings since January 2020. Warner grabbed the Player of the Series award for his performances.

3.Steven Smith

Steven Smith ended the series as the third-highest run-getter behind his teammates Head and Warner. The prolific right-handed batter amassed 195 runs in three outings at a staggering average of 97.50 and a strike rate of 93.75 with two half-centuries. Both of his fifties (80 & 94) came in the first two matches as the Aussies clinched the series.

4.Dawid Malan

Though Dawid Malan registered two single-digit scores in the series, he still finished the three matches as England’s leading run-getter. The left-handed batter struck 136 runs at an average of 45.33 and a strike rate of 100.74 with one century. The 35-year-old scripted his career-best score of 134 in the first ODI in Adelaide. He also won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant knock.

5.Adam Zampa

Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa terrorized the English side throughout the series with his quality spin bowling. The 30-year-old picked up 11 wickets at an average of 11.90 and a strike rate of 13.9 with an economy rate of 5.13. Zampa took figures of 3/55, 4/45, and 4/31 in the first, second and third matches respectively. He equaled Mitchell Starc for picking up the most wickets (11) for Australia in a three-match ODI series. Starc also snared 11 scalps against West Indies in 2021.
