The three-match one-day international series between Bangladesh and England is done and dusted and defending champions England sealed the series by a margin of 2-1. Jos Buttler’s men won the opening two encounters in Dhaka to win the series before losing out in the final game in Chattogram. Jason Roy ended the series as the highest run-getter with 155 runs at an average of 51.66 and the best score of 132. He smashed a ton in the second game that helped his side in posting a total of 326/7 eventually winning the game by 132 runs and the series 2-0. Roy also won the Player of the Match award for his magnificent ton.
2. Dawid Malan
Dawid Malan slammed a terrific hundred in the opener in tough spinning conditions. Chasing a target of 210, the visitors struggled at 65/4. But Malan stood firm as he remained 114* off 145 with the help of eight fours and four sixes. He guided his side to a memorable victory by three wickets which also won him the Player of the Match award.
3. Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan finished the series as the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh. He amassed 141 runs with two fifties and the best score of 75. He also took the most wickets (six) for his team. Shakib scored 75 and took 4/35, which helped the Bangla Tigers in avoiding a whitewash in the last game. He also grabbed the Player of the Match award for his all-round brilliance.
4. Najmul Hossain Shanto
Najmul Hossain Shanto slammed the second-most runs after Shakib. The left-handed batter hit 111 runs at an average of 37. The 24-year-old youngster hammered two half-centuries with the highest score of 58. Though his 111 runs can be counted only in two innings as he got dismissed for a golden duck in the second game.
5. Adil Rashid
Adil Rashid ended the series as the highest wicket-taker. He took eight wickets in three innings at an average of 14.12 with an economy rate of just 4.70. Rashid took 2/47 in the first, 4/45 in the second, and 2/21 in the final game. He also won the Player of the Series award for his wickets throughout the three matches.
