Bangladesh and Afghanistan to play one-off Test from June 14

Afghanistan will start their upcoming tour of Bangladesh with a one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. According to reports, Afghanistan will reach the country on June 10 and the first Test will be played from June 14.

Earlier, it was reported that the tour will be completed in two phases with Afghanistan leaving for India mid-way through the series for a white-ball series against the Men in Blue.

It has now been confirmed that Afghanistan will be leaving for India on June 19 after the completion of the one-off Test and will return to Bangladesh again to compete in three ODIs and two T20Is which will conclude on July 17.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, the three-match ODI series will be played in Chattogram with the matches taking place on July 5, 8 and 11 respectively. The two teams will further move to Sylhet to lock horns in a two-match T20I series with the two games scheduled on July 14 and 16.

Meanwhile, most of the Bangladesh’s players that toured England for the ODIs against Ireland have returned home while some big names have stayed back in the country for a break. Bangladesh and Afghanistan to play one-off Test from June 14
