Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, 3rd match review

Team Afghanistan completed a resounding victory over Bangladesh in the third match of the 2022 T20 Asia Cup played on August 30 (Tuesday). Batter Ibrahim Zadran was the pick of batters for the Afghani team as he showed great composure with the bat and helped his side to cross the line.

Talking about the match, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to have a bat first on a slow-pitched wicket. The Bangla Tigers had a poor start with the bat as they lost a few key wickets during the field restrictions. The Afghani side continued taking wickets even after the field restrictions and pushed the batting side.

An excellent knock from middle-order batter Mosaddek Hossain and some lusty blows from Mahedi Hasan ensured that the batting team cross the 120-run mark in their allotted 20 overs.

For Afghanistan, spin twins Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan scalped three wickets for their side.  Chasing below 130+ runs in their allotted 20 overs, Afghanistan were in a spot of bother in their chase as they lost some crucial wickets in the first ten overs. However, Ibrahim Zadran (42* runs) and NajibullahZadran (43 runs) completed the chase for their team in 18.3 overs.
