Bapuna Cup: Arjun Tendulkar named in 15-man Mumbai squad, Suryakumar Yadav to lead

Left-arm fast bowler Arjun Tendulkar has been included in Mumbai’s 15-member squad for the upcoming Bapuna Cup to be held in Nagpur.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced the Mumbai squad on their website on Monday. It will be led by senior batsman Suryakumar Yadav. The ‘Bapuna Cup’ is a pre-season tournament organised by the Vidarbha Cricket Association of Nagpur. The tournament is slated to begin on September 5 and will be a 50-over competition.

Arjun, who was bought by the Aakash Tigers MWS in the T20 Mumbai League, put up an impressive show in the recently concluded tournament. The youngster will rub shoulders with some of the seasoned domestic campaigners such as Suryakumar, Aditya Tare, Sarfaraz Khan, players who have also been successful in the Indian Premier League.

With his selection in Mumbai’s senior squad, Arjun will have the opportunity to prove his mettle ahead of the all-important Ranji Trophy.
