Usman Khawaja

India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 by 2-1 to secure a place in the World Test Championship 2021-23 final. The hosts won the opening two matches with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja taking 31 wickets combined to retain the series. Australia made a comeback in the third Test with a nine-wicket win after Nathan Lyon’s 11-fer.

The first three matches ended within three days with bowlers clearly dominating on spin-friendly pitches. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was the only batter to score a century in the first three matches.
