Cameron Green confirms availability for IPL 2023 mini-auction

Australia all-rounder Cameron Green has officially confirmed his availability in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini-auction. The auction is scheduled to take place on December 23 in Kochi, Kerala.

Green confirmed his participation in the top-tier league’s auction on the ‘Unplayable’ podcast by cricket.com.au. The Aussie all-rounder believes that the exposure to the tournament will help him get refined as a player in the shortest format.

“I have registered for it. It will be an exciting opportunity. Speaking to a lot of guys, especially in the WA (Western Australia) set up about their experiences in the IPL, they speak so highly of it. They speak about the quality coaches that you are around, the quality players that you are around. They are all the best in the world at their craft,” Green was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

“It is a craft that I have not been exposed to too much. I am so open to wanting to learn as much as I can and that is probably one of the best environments to learn in. In T20 cricket, you are meeting the ball so far in front of you, so you get that full swing,” added Green.

Cameron Green gearing up for West Indies Test series

The young all-rounder has garnered a lot of attention with his performances with the national side and the IPL might prove to be a vital platform to hone his craft. Franchises of the top-tier league would certainly be keeping tabs on the player and could look to secure his services ahead of the new season.

At present, the 23-year-old has full preparations underway for the forthcoming West Indies Test series scheduled to commence on November 30. After remaining on the sidelines for the last two ODI matches against England, the all-rounder is sweating it out in the nets with the guidance of his father, Gary.

“I had a few sessions on the bowling machine basically trying to change my contact point,” he added.
