Emerging Teams Asia Cup: All you need to know
The fifth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup will be held from July 14 to July 23 in Sri Lanka. The tournament will feature ‘A’ teams of the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka) and the top three teams from the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup namely Nepal, UAE and Oman.
The eight teams have been divided into two groups of four each, with Oman, Sri Lanka A, Pakistan A and Bangladesh A in group A. On the other hand, India A, Nepal, Pakistan A and the United Arab Emirates make Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the finals while the third-ranked team from both groups will play a third-place playoff.
The matches will be played across three venues in Colombo namely P Sara Oval, Singhalese Sports Club (SSC), and the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
