Fan creates Sachin Tendulkar’s 50-feet long portrait

A die-hard Sachin Tendulkar fan from Maharashtra made a 50-feet long portrait of the legendary Indian cricketer on the occasion of his 50th birthday. The portrait had the Indian tri-colour in the background, with Sachin’s face in the centre. While the Saffron coloured part on top of the portrait had all of Tendulkar’s national ranks and honours mentioned, the Green coloured bit on the bottom had ‘Happy 50th Birthday Sachin’ printed.

Dr. Abhishek Nandkishor Neelam Satam and Gaurav Bhatkar, two individuals from Mumbai, created this grand painting of Sachin Tendulkar at R. M. Bhat High School in Parel. Sachin Tendulkar has five major ranks to his name, as he was honoured with the Arjuna Award in the year 1994, followed by the Khel Ratna in 1997, Padma Shri in 1999, Padma Vibhushan in 2008, and the Bharat Ratna in the year 2014.

Since 2017, Abhishek Satam has been crafting life-size artworks as a tribute to Sachin Tendulkar. Initially, he fashioned a Rangoli spanning 44×24 ft in 2017, followed by a portrait of the same size in 2018, which he created with kite paper. In 2019, using tailoring material, he fashioned an artwork of size 46×24 ft. During the pandemic in 2020, he designed a 6×3 ft portrait of Sachin with a message about combating COVID-19. In 2021, he assembled a composition of 30,012 paper circles that depicted Sachin’s well-known pose, holding the Indian tricolour after the 2011 World Cup victory. Finally, in 2022, using paper cups, he created a large artwork of size 49×24 ft that showcased Sachin’s fondness for tea.
