5. Suryakumar Yadav – 4017

The 32-year-old Mumbai-born batter attained the 6000-run mark during an IPL match against Punjab Kings in 2023. The batter smashed 57 runs donning the Mumbai Indians outfit and breached the 6000-run mark in mere 4017 balls played. With this, he became the fifth player to reach the milestone in the list of taking the fewest balls.

4. Chris Gayle – 4008

Regarded as arguably the most aggressive hitter, Chris Gayle holds numerous records in the T20 format. With the ability to score big on a consistent basis, Gayle breached the 6000-run mark with 4008 deliveries played. The Caribbean hitter stands fourth in this elite list.

3. Kieron Pollard – 3918

The former Mumbai Indians explosive hitter has featured in 625 matches in T20s and collected 12175 runs. However, Pollard took just 3918 balls to reach the 6000-run mark in the format. The tall Caribbean batter was regarded as an aggressive hitter of the ball and it is no surprise to see him feature on this list. Having played just 3918 balls to reach the milestone, Pollard is third on the list.

2. Glenn Maxwell – 3890

The only Aussie on the list, Glenn Maxwell relishes batting in the shortest format. Moreover, the batter enjoys playing peculiar shots to get big runs for his side. Having faced 3890 balls, Maxwell stands second on this list behind Andre Russell, to have reached the milestone.

1. Andre Russell – 3550

Andre Russell has got a massive number of runs coming down the order. It does not take too many balls for the Jamaican batter to hit the ground running. With this, he has only taken 3550 balls to get to the 6000-run mark and in doing so, Russell is ranked first in this elite list of cricketers.
