India are close to a potential semi-final berth

Virat Kohli has been just sensational for India with his scintillating batting display in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. His efforts have brought the team on the threshold of making it to the semi-finals. The Men in Blue will now require a win in their final Super 12 match against Zimbabwe to officially cement their spot in the last four of the marquee event.

On the other hand, Maxwell was impressive with his blistering knock against Afghanistan in Australia’s final outing of the Super 12 stage and it earned them a victory. Despite the win, the hosts and defending champions Australia are dependent on the result of the Sri Lanka and England fixture.

Now, the Aussies will hope for Sri Lanka to win their fixture against England which will help them qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament. Aaron Finch didn’t play in the match against Afghanistan as he was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
