Harbhajan Singh tests positive for COVID-19

Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has undergone isolation after testing positive for the COVID-19 virus. The veteran took to Twitter on Friday (January 21) and informed about the same. Although the 41-year-old has contracted the virus, the symptoms are mild. He also urged everyone who came in his contact recently to get themselves tested as soon as possible.

It must be noted that Harbhajan was due to participate in the ongoing Legends League Cricket. Hence, fans were surprised not seeing him in India Maharajas’ playing XI for the opening clash against Asia Lions. With the tournament, which is taking place in Oman, concluding on January 29, the off-spinner isn’t likely to ply his trade. As Harbhajan said he’s isolating himself at home, it seems like he hasn’t taken the flight to Oman.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan brought curtains to his illustrious professional career last year. With 711 international wickets in the kitty, the offie finishes as India’s second-highest wicket-taker, only behind Anil Kumble.
