Hardik Pandya was wearing ‘this’ watch during his back surgery

Hardik Pandya may have kept himself away from the sport for a while but his off-field appearances are always eye-catching. Be it his flashy fashion sense, luxurious watches or high-end cars, the Baroda player makes sure that he hogs the headlines during his public appearances.

Hardik’s last appearance for India was during the T20I series against South Africa in September 2019, where he scalped two wickets from two games and scored 14 runs in the only innings he batted. Post the T20I series, Hardik wasn’t picked for the subsequent Test series owing to a back injury.

It was revealed that the all-rounder was struggling with back issues for over a year. To address the issue, he flew to the United Kingdom (UK) for back surgery. After the surgery, he even posted a picture for fans, indicating the success of his surgery. The Indian board also released a statement revealing Hardik’s back surgery in London on October 2nd.

His picture was flooded with comments in no time as fans and teammates wished him a speedy recovery. Amid a plethora of wishes, it was a unique comment from Zomato’s vice-president Rahul Ganjoo which caught everyone’s attention. Ganjoo noticed that Hardik, in the picture, was sporting a Patek Philippe Nautilus watch worth INR 80 lakhs. Ganjoo even revealed that there’s an eight-year waitlist to get the watch.

The expensive timepiece, manufactured by Patek Philippe, is considered the “holy grail” in the watch industry. Responding to Ganjoo’s comment, Pandya confirmed the same and said, “Know watches for sure.”

It wasn’t clear which model of the watch Pandya was flaunting in the picture. However, according to reports, it was Rose Gold Nautilus with a reference number 5980/1R and Caliber CH 28-520 C. If we go by the official website’s price, the luxurious timepiece costs a staggering USD 169,995. But due to its high demand, its price can even notch up to Rs 13 crore.
