Haris Rauf apologises to Shahid Afridi after dismissing him for a golden duck

The 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has finally got its two finalists after an excruciating wait for eight months. The tournament had to be stopped abruptly after the league stage in March due to COVID-19 outbreak. But the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) managed to create a bio-bubble for the playoffs and the fans have witnessed three top-quality matches so far with Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars making it to the final.

The Qalandars defeated the Multan Sultans in the second eliminator on Sunday to book their spot in the final to be played on November 17. David Wiese was the talk of the town for his exceptional all-round display for the Qalandars. But even the pacer Haris Rauf did his bit picking three crucial wickets during his four-over spell and one of them was of the legendary Shahid Afridi.

The all-rounder came in to bat after the fall of Rilee Rossouw’s wicket in the 14th over and the stage was set for him to play a quickfire knock to keep his team in the hunt. But very few expected what followed! Haris Rauf steamed in and bowled a sensational in-swinging yorker at 145.9 kph to shatter Afridi’s middle stump. And interestingly, after bowling such an unplayable delivery, he straightaway folded his hands to apologise to former Pakistan cricketer.
