The two players out in the middle need to have a perfect rapport between them to build a solid partnership. In T20 internationals, sharing a 100-run stand is not an easy task, let alone doing it down the order.

3. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya (113)

Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya shared a magnificent 113-run stand for the fifth wicket as India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by four wickets in Melbourne in T20 WC 2022. Chasing 160, the Men in Blue struggled at 31/4 and that is when the duo chipped in. Hardik got dismissed for 40 but Virat remained not out on 82 off 53 to take his side over the line in a high-voltage thriller at the ‘G’.

2. Misbah-ul-Haq and Shoaib Malik, Curtis Campher and George Dockrell (119)

Pakistan’s Misbah-ul-Haq and Shoaib Malik added an unbeaten 119-run stand for the fifth wicket against Australia in Johannesburg in T20 WC 2007. Chasing 165, Pakistan struggled to get going at 46/4. The duo then joined hands to seal a six-wicket victory for the Men in Green. The former made 66 while Malik racked up 52. In another WC game in Hobart in the 2022 edition, the Irish duo of Curtis Campher and George Dockrell rescued their side against Scotland. Chasing 177, Ireland were in all sorts of trouble at 61/4 in 9.3 overs. But both registered a six-wicket win in 19 overs . Dockrell scored 39 while Campher stole the show with 72* off just 38.

1. Mark Chapman and James Neesham (121)

Mark Chapman and James Neesham pulled off a stunning win over Pakistan recently in the fifth and final T20I. The Kiwis were set a huge target of 194 in Rawalpindi and found themselves at 73/4 in 9.5 overs. Chapman then played an innings of the ages as he struck 104 off just 57 against a quality Pakistan bowling attack while Neesham amassed 45, as the pair added 121 for the fifth wicket to seal the match for New Zealand by six wickets with the series also ending up in 2-2.
