Highest individual scores in men’s List A cricket

Prithvi Shaw silenced his critics after smashing a scintillating double ton for Northamptonshire in England’s One-Day Cup. The right-hander slammed 244 off 153 balls, cracking 28 fours and 11 sixes at a solid strike rate of 159.47. In the process, Shaw got his name associated with numerous List A records and among them was the highest-ever List A score for Northamptonshire, the second-highest List A score in England, and the sixth-highest score in List A history, among others. 3. D’Arcy Short | 257 runs

During a match between Western Australia and Queensland in the One-Day Cup in 2018, D’Arcy Short single-handedly helped his side (Western Australia) attain 387 runs. After the early dismissals of the openers, Short slammed a magnificent 148-ball 257 which featured 23 sixes and 15 fours at a stellar strike rate of 173.64. Western Australia eventually won the contest by a massive margin of 116 runs.

2. Ali Brown | 268 runs

In 2002, Surrey’s Ali Brown opened the innings with Ian Ward and raised a humongous 286-run partnership to keep his side in the driver’s seat. Furthermore, he breathed fire as he concluded the innings with a score of 268 runs off 160 balls which included 12 sixes and 30 fours to help Surrey post 438 against Glamorgan. During the run-chase, Glamorgan tried to put up a fight but eventually fell short by nine runs.

1. Narayan Jagadeesan | 277 runs

Narayan Jagadeesan slammed the highest score in List A cricket donning Tamil Nadu’s outfit in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Arunachal Pradesh in 2022. Opening the innings along with Sai Sudharsan, the pair combined to raise a jaw-dropping 416-run partnership. In addition to this, Jagadeesan shifted gears and hammered 277 off 141 balls, which featured 15 maximums and 25 boundaries at a strike rate of 196.45. Dismissing Arunachal Pradesh for a paltry total of 71 runs, Tamil Nadu brushed aside the former by 435 runs.
