Highest partnership against India in men’s T20I

T20I

Team India is one of the top sides in the shortest format of cricket in the international arena. The Men in Blue scripted history after winning the first-ever T20 World Cup in 2007. India n are also the number one ranked team in the T20 format and are currently looking for the right team combination for the all-important T20 World Cup in Australia this year.

Team India has won many matches after some spectacular bowling performances from the side. However, there have been instances when the bowling department of India totally failed to apply themselves on the field. On that note, let us take a look at the highest partnership against India in men’s T20I.

Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller (131* runs)

Team India was handed a tough defeat by South Africa in the first T20I encounter of a five-match ongoing series. Despite scoring 200+ runs and taking few wickets at the start, the Men in Blue were shocked by the middle-order batters including David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen. The duo took on the Indian bowling line-up and won the match comfortably in the end with a 131-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Shane Watson and David Warner (133 runs)

The dangerous duo of David Warner and Shane Watson demolished the Indian bowling line-up during the 2012 T20 World Cup. Chasing a 130+ score, both Warner and Watson did not let the Men in Blue bowlers settle and attacked them right from ball one. As a result, Australia won that match by nine wickets.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan (152 runs)

Babar

Team Pakistan created history after they broke their losing streak against India in a World Cup match. They achieved this feat during the 2021 T20 World Cup. Batting first, India’s batting line-up was taken apart by Shaheen Afridi and the rest was done by the opening duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Both batters completed their respective fifties as the Men in Green completed the chase without losing a single wicket.
