IND vs AFG Preview: Knocked-out team meet before their exit

India and Afghanistan will battle it out in the Super 4 and both teams are already out of the tournament after losing their first two games. However, this game will be a good chance for both sides, to show their strength and end the tournament on a high.

India will be the most disappointing side out of the two sides given that they had started off the tournament brilliantly and it seemed like they ticked all the boxes. However, an injury to Ravindra Jadeja meant that the whole combination got disbalanced and affected the team’s performance certainly. Deepak Chahar is expected to be a straight swap in for Deepak Hooda with the combination of four bowlers and an all-rounder not working.

On the other hand, Afghanistan had two close games, where they could have ended up on the winning side and it wasn’t meant to be in the end.  The fast-bowling department has been a huge plus for them while their evergreen spin bowling attack kept piling up the pressure. Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been a revelation at the top of the order and he is one batter who can demolish bowling attacks.

Weather Conditions and Pitch behaviour

The Dubai International Stadium has been an excellent track for batting and the conditions improve considerably in the second innings, which has been visible in the tournament so far. The skipper winning the toss will have no hesitations in bowling first going by the results in the venue.
