Navdeep Saini

The 26-year old fast bowler is rising rapidly in international cricket. His first big break was in the 2019 IPL where he made his debut for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He took 11 wickets from 13 matches under the leadership of Virat Kohli. The Delhi bowler donned the Indian T20I jersey against West Indies in West Indies. The pacer was one of the most impressive bowlers on the Caribbean tracks. It will be interesting to see him unleash himself on the Indian tracks against the South African batsmen.

Anrich Nortje

The Indian fans will be eagerly waiting to see Nortje in action. He first earned recognition via his spells in the Mzansi Super League alongside Dale Steyn. He was also snapped up by Kolkata Knight Riders to play in the 2019 IPL. However, injuries kept the 25-year old fast bowler out of both IPL and the World Cup. Although he has turned out for South Africa in ODIs, this will be his T20I debut. A good performance against the Indian batting on home tracks will improve his price in the coming IPL auctions.

Rahul Chahar

With India’s regular white-ball spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav absent, this will be a fantastic opportunity for Chahar to grab. The 20-year old leg spinner has been impressive in the domestic circuit and has quickly climbed the ladders to take a spot in the Indian team. The leggie was Mumbai Indians’ primary spinner in the 2019 edition. He has played a solitary T20I for India but this series against South Africa will be a huge chance for him.

Deepak Chahar

Another IPL product. After his stunning 8/10 against Hyderabad on his first-class debut, the 27-year old swing bowler failed to produce regular performances. He redeemed himself with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2019 season. MS Dhoni used him in the powerplay overs and Chahar responded with 22 wickets from 17 matches. In the third T20I against West Indies this year, the right-arm bowler took three wickets for only four runs. He will be crucial for India in the opening overs once again.

Kagiso Rabada

Rabada is ranked 66th in the ICC T20I rankings for bowlers. The spearhead of the South African bowling attack will definitely aim to improve his status in the shortest format of the game. Rabada enjoyed tremendous success in the 2019 IPL. For Delhi Capitals, he took 25 wickets from 12 matches, finishing second in the purple cap list. He will be hoping to repeat his success against the Indian team in the three-match T20I series. In their previous two encounters, Rabada has managed to take only one wicket against India.
