Indian players engage in fun fielding drill ahead of WTC Final

The World Test Championship 2023 final is just 12 days away as both India and Australia have begun their preparations for the summit clash. Some of the Indian players have reached England ahead of the big game and are getting themselves acclimatized to the conditions. Recently Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Akash Deep, Mukesh Kumar and Umesh Yadav were seen playing a juggling game during their practice session.

In a video, five players, along with a member of the coaching staff, got together in a circle and threw balls at each other randomly to create a catching rally. The rally went on for a long time as the players were seen having a great time playing the fun game.

BCCI, shared the video on their Twitter handle and wrote, “Get your friends, form a circle and replicate this fun drill! 😉😀😀🏏.”

While some players are already in England, other players such as Virat Kohli and Jaydev Unadkat, will also be reaching the country soon. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, KS Bharat, Mohammed Shami and Shubman Gill will leave for the country after the IPL season of their respective teams ends.

Notably, it will be India’s second appearance in the World Test Championship final after they lost the inaugural edition against New Zealand. The Rohit Sharma-led side finished in the second spot in the ongoing WTC cycle having a points percentage of 58.80.
