IPL 2020: RCB vs SRH Preview – Hyderabad face a stiff test for survival

Kohli

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on each other at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Match 52 of IPL 2020. Royal Challengers have won 7 games, while Hyderabad have won 5 games in 12 matches. RCB are coming off a defeat at the hands of MI while SRH defeated the Delhi Capitals in their previous game.

SRH is in a must-win situation and they cannot afford to lose. Their net run-rate is superb and they would only be hoping for one of the teams to get stuck at 14 after they win both their remaining matches. RCB, on the other hand, have lost their way a bit with two back to back losses. They are yet to qualify but a win should seal their place.

Team News:

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Virat Kohli’s men are in a bit of a problem after two consecutive losses. They need to win both their games to ensure a place in the top 2, while they need one win to confirm their place in the semi-finals after 4 seasons. Their batting has majorly underperformed in the last two matches, and Kohli and de Villiers need to step up for Bangalore in the business end of the tournament.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Hyderabad lost a disappointing game against Punjab, as they were not able to chase 127 after being 59/0 in the first 6 overs. They managed to reach 110/4 in 18 overs before losing 6 wickets in the span of 4 runs to be all-out for just 114. They came back strong in the next game against Delhi, attacking with both bat and ball to win the game comfortably by 88 runs. Rashid Khan vs ABD would be an interesting battle to look out for.
