The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side once again lost a match from a seemingly winning position. In the encounter against the Mumbai Indians (MI) outfit, the SRH side was comfortably placed at 74/2 at the end of the 10 over mark, and it looked as if they would overhaul the target of 151 set by the Rohit Sharma led side.

But then, the ‘Orange Army’ succumbed to the pressure of a run chase for the third time in a row and went down to the Mumbai side by 13 runs. And now, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has stated that he is not happy with some of the youngsters in the SRH side.

In fact, Manjrekar openly tweeted that if Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, and Virat Singh are picked together, then the ‘Orange Army’ cannot win. You can see Manjrekar’s tweet below.

“I don’t know how to take that,” says David Warner after Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) loss

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner also expressed his displeasure with his side’s inability to end up on the winning side. Stating that he did not know how to digest the loss, the Australian cricketer revealed that he was disappointed. Warner further added that if a side does not bat deep, they cannot win the match. Warner concluded by admitting that the SRH side batted ‘poorly’.

I don’t know how to take that. Obviously disappointing. Two of us were set but it proves that if you don’t bat deep, you can’t win. If you get a partnership and if there is one person at the end, you can chase it down. These scores are very chase-able, it’s just poor batting. The guys need to play smart cricket in the middle. The bowlers have been fantastic,” said Warner in the post-match press conference.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad side is the only side that has not managed to put up even a single victory thus far in the 2021 IPL and is now languishing at the bottom of the points table. The ‘Orange Army’ will play their next match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side on 21st April 2021 in Chennai.
