IPL 2022: KKR vs DC Preview – High-flying Kolkata meet struggling Delhi
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Delhi Capitals in a group stage match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 to be played on April 10 (Sunday). The two-time champions KKR have played some excellent cricket so far. The Men in Purple have won three out of their four matches in IPL 2022. KKR have beaten the defending champions Chennai Super Kings, five-time champions Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings so far.
Their only defeat came against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, which was a hard-fought contest. For KKR, allrounder Andre Russell, pacer Umesh Yadav and Pat Cummins have been brilliant with some support provided by opener Venkatesh Iyer and wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings. The two-time champions will look to maintain their dominance against the Delhi Capitals as well.
The Capitals, on the other hand, are placed seventh on the points table, with just one win in their three matches. They won their first match against Mumbai. However, they were handed defeats by both new entrants, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. Barring Kuldeep Yadav, none of the players in DC squad have managed to perform consistently in the tournament so far.
