IPL 2023: 3 Players SRH might pick at the auction

Sunrisers Hyderabad will enter the IPL 2023 mini auction with the highest purse amount of INR 42.25 crores. They have plenty of slots to fill in after releasing most of the big names. The expensive names like Kane Williamson, Romario Shepherd and Nicholas Pooran have been released ahead of the retentions. SRH will have the luxury to pick the best all-rounders. Here are 3 players SRH might pick at the auction.

Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes will be the top priority for Sunrisers Hyderabad and he can take up the captaincy duties. The all-rounder can slot in at anywhere in the batting line-up and can bowl in different phases of the game. He is a genuine match-winner and Sunrisers will definitely look to bring him into the mix at any cost.

N Jagadeesan

Jagadeesan was released by CSK ahead of the retentions and since then, he has had a brilliant run in the domestic tournaments. The Tamil Nadu-batter can keep wickets and he recently scored 277 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to shatter List A records. Given his recent form, SRH will look to bag him in the auction which will serve them the wicketkeeper slot as well as an Indian opener.

Sikandar Raza

Apart from Washington Sundar, Hyderabad do not have much quality spin option. Bringing in Sikandar Raza will be a great move. The Zimbabwean can also solve the middle-order woes for the franchise. His mystery spin with the ball has been effective around the world. He will be one of the most sought-after players in the auction this year and SRH will be keen to go after him.
