However, the franchise has let go of a lot of players and they will be eying to form a better squad. Here are 3 players Mumbai Indians might pick at the auction.

Cameron Green

Cameron Green proved his all-round skills in the visit to India and he is a fantastic talent who has been backed by Australia in Tests. He is seen as a generational talent and has got the goods to clock high speeds. The right-hander showed his versatility as he can open the innings and is quite destructive against the spinners. He has set his base price at INR 2 crores and will definitely be on the radar of the Mumbai Indians as well as many other teams.

Sam Curran

Mumbai Indians struggled in the death overs with no backup option for Jasprit Bumrah. Sam Curran could definitely help the franchise in this regard. With Kieron Pollard retired, the franchise will have to go for an all-rounder who can bat in the middle phases and Curran is among the best in the lot at the moment. The left-arm seamer is expected to be one of the highest-paid players in the IPL Auction this year. Curran’s recent form in the T20 World Cup 2022 has been fantastic.

Ben Stokes

All-rounders who can bowl medium pace and bat in the top six have had a special demand in IPL. Mumbai Indians thoroughly missed it last year after releasing Hardik Pandya. However, they will have the chance to pick up Ben Stokes in the auction. He can be a future captain and also add value to both the batting and bowling departments. MI is likely to go all-out for Stokes, having already picked up Jofra Archer in their squad.
