IPL: Highest individual scores in finals

With the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 finally coming to an end with the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings winning the title after defeating Gujarat Titans in the final, 21-year-old Indian batter Sai Sudharshan was the highest run-getter in the summit clash.

3. Sai Sudharshan vs CSK (2023)

21-year-old Indian batter Sai Sudharshan holds the record for the third-highest individual score in an IPL final. Being uncapped, Sudharshan played a knock for the ages and was sensational for Gujarat Titans in the first innings. Coming in to bat after the fall of the first wicket, Sudharshan amassed 96 runs in 47 deliveries and propelled Gujarat to a mammoth total of 214 runs for Chennai to chase down.

2. Wriddhiman Saha vs KKR (2014)

Veteran Indian batter Wriddhiman Saha holds the record for second highest individual score in an IPL final. Saha’s exceptional innings propelled Kings XI Punjab to a respectable total in the game. Coming in to bat first, Saha played an unbeaten knock of 115 runs in 55 deliveries. His knock helped the side post 199 runs on the board for Kolkata to chase.

1. Shane Watson vs SRH (2018)

The highest ever individual score ever recorded in an IPL final came when Sunrisers Hyderabad took on Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash of the 2018 IPL. Coming in to chase down a target of 179 runs, Chennai came in the second innings with all guns blazing. Shane Watson opened the innings for the MS Dhoni-led side and the Australian all-rounder amassed 117 runs in 57 deliveries to propel his side to its third IPL title.
