Rishabh Pant

The Indian Premier League has witnessed several explosive batters ply their trade in the renowned franchise league. However, the competition has also witnessed some prolific batters, who have consistently breached the 50-run mark over the years. On that note, we list the batters with the most 50+ scores in the history of IPL.

49 – Shikhar Dhawan

Punjab Kings’ newly named skipper Shikhar Dhawan has been one of the most consistent performers in the history of the competition being the third leading run-getter in IPL. The veteran Indian opener has scored 6284 runs in 207 IPL matches, averaging a healthy 35.10. He is renowned for his stubborn approach and longevity at the crease as he has 49 half-centuries to his name, the second most by an Indian batter in the competition.

50 – Virat Kohli

The former Indian skipper became the first Indian batter to reach the incredible feat of 50 half-centuries in the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli reached the milestone after a swashbuckling innings against five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their first match of the 16th edition of the tournament. Apart from the second most fifties in the competition, he is also the leading run scorer in the tournament’s history with 6706

60 – David Warner

Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner, who is currently leading the Delhi Capitals in the absence of Rishabh Pant, is firmly placed at the top of this illustrious list of players. The explosive Australian opener, who started his IPL journey with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2009, is one of the most adored overseas players in India. While he has always been a prolific batter at the top of the order, he came into his own in the 2016 season, guiding Sunrisers Hyderabad to their maiden IPL title.
