Jofra Archer is one bowler I would really like to face: Yash Dhull

Yash Dhull has been in the headlines for various achievements already as he led India to a record fifth U-19 World Cup captain in the Caribbean last month. The 19-year-old was picked up for the Delhi squad for the Ranji Trophy season 2021-22 and he immediately repaid the faith by scoring twin centuries on his debut game while opening the innings. He also bagged an IPL contract for the first time with the Delhi Capitals franchise picking him up for INR 50 Lakhs.

It has been a stellar run for Dhull starting from the impressive century in the semi-finals of the U-19 World Cup to scoring centuries in each innings against a tough Tamil Nadu bowling attack. In an interview recently, he also opened up on his goals to make it to the senior Indian squad within two years of time and is looking to work on it as well.

I would love to make a partnership with David Warner: Yash Dhull

Dhull noted that he was expecting the Delhi Capitals franchise to bid for him in the mega auction and was excited to be under the guidance of Ricky Ponting who is the head coach. He added that England quick Jofra Archer is one bowler that has been on his mind for a while to face and aspired to make a partnership with David Warner too.

“I was already expecting to get picked by Delhi Capitals as I am also a part of their academy. I am really looking forward to meeting Ricky Ponting and performing under his guidance,” he said as quoted by the Print.

“Jofra Archer is one bowler I would like to face. He is really quick with his bowling. And during IPL for DC, I would love to make a partnership with David Warner.”

Archer will not be part of IPL 2022 as he is yet to recover from his elbow injury although he was picked up by the Mumbai Indians franchise.
