Jofra Archer opens up on England’s chances in ODI World Cup 2023

Courtesy of the Indian Premier League, players across the globe are getting a taste of the Indian conditions, which can eventually help them in the upcoming edition of the ODI World Cup.

Talking about the defending champions England, some of their key players in the form of skipper Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer and Liam Livingstone, among a few others, are currently playing for different franchises in the IPL and the experience can help them later in the year during the marquee tournament.

Speaking about the same, England pacer Jofra Archer stated that the Three Lions can play anywhere in the world and not just in India. He also pointed out that he hasn’t played any cricket in the month of October and November in India and thus doesn’t know why the pitch will behave. However, the cricketer revealed that they will have all the information they need beforehand.

“I’ve never played in India in the latter part of the year. We don’t know if the wickets will be different, but we’ll have all the information that we need beforehand. I think our boys can play anywhere in the world, not just here. We are going to give it our best shot – I can tell you that for sure. Sometimes tournaments don’t go your way, but sometimes you just need a little bit of luck, that’s all,” Jofra was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
