In 20 matches, Pujara has scored 1893 runs at a solid average of 54.08, including five centuries with the highest score of 204. The 35-year-old has two double hundreds to his name in this series.

2. Ricky Ponting and VVS Laxman (12)

The pair of Ricky Ponting and VVS Laxman are tied up on the second spot with 12 half-centuries. Ponting amassed 2555 runs at an average of 54.36 in 29 games, including eight centuries, with the highest score of 257 from 1996 to 2012. He leads the pack with the most double tons (three) in this series.

Meanwhile, Laxman played 29 games in BGT and racked up 2434 runs at an average of 49.67. In 54 innings, the right-handed batter struck six hundred with the best score of 281. Like Pujara, Laxman has also scored two double tons in these contests.

1. Sachin Tendulkar (16)

Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar loved playing against the Aussies and occupies the top position. The Little Master slammed 16 fifties in the history of BGT in 34 matches, having mustered 3262 runs at a stellar average of 56.24. In 65 innings, Tendulkar smacked nine hundreds with the highest score of 241*. The batting maestro also hit two double tons from 1996 to 2013.
