He scored 11 centuries and nine half-centuries at the venue and his tally was the most runs by a batter in Tests at a venue. Jayawardene’s 374 came at the same venue as well against South Africa in 2006.

Mahela Jayawardene – Galle international Stadium

Mahela Jayawardene was a giant when it comes to dominating the home conditions and he enjoyed his time at the Galle International Stadium. Jayawardene scored 2382 runs in 23 matches and 42 innings at an average of 70.05. He scored seven centuries and 12 half-centuries in the venue with the highest score of 237. His tally was the second most runs by a batter in Tests at a venue.

Kumar Sangakkara  – SSC Stadium, Colombo

Former Sri Lankan batter Kumar Sangakkara loved playing in the subcontinent conditions and he had a particular liking for the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo. The left0hander amassed 2312 runs in 22 Tests and 34 innings at the venue. Sangakkara averaged 74.58 with eight centuries and seven half-centuries with the highest score of 287 at the venue. He finished as one of the greats of the game, and he dominated most of the venues around the world.
