Most wickets for India in Women’s T20Is

T20 cricket is often regarded as a batter-friendly format. However, more often than not, it’s the bowlers who play a significant role in tilting momentum at any given point. While numerous bowlers around the world have stamped their authority by scalping wickets in the shortest format, there have been quite a few Indians who have been magnificent with wickets under their belt. In this piece, we take a look at the top three Indians with the most wickets in the T20Is-

3. Radha Yadav – 67 wickets

Left-arm orthodox Radha Yadav has been sensational for India. The 22-year-old has played 66 matches in the shortest format of the game and has picked up 67 wickets. She has been India’s wrecker-in-chief on many occasions and the Mumbai-born cricketer is the third-leading T20I wicket-taker for India. Given her age and form at the moment, one can expect her to finish as one of India’s leading wicket-takers in the future.

2. Poonam Yadav – 98 wickets

31-year-old Poonam Yadav is second on the list of most wickets for India in T20 cricket. The Agra-born spinner has played 72 matches for the nation and has picked up 98 wickets in the process. She has been consistent with her line and length and an economy of 5.75 justifies that. She also holds multiple records to her name in T20 cricket as Poonam has the best economy rate in innings coupled with the most wickets taken via stumped.

1. Deepti Sharma – 101 wickets

All-rounder Deepti Sharma has been one of the most consistent performers for India in the recent past. She has been tremendous with both bat and ball and is a key member of the dressing room.
