2. Sri Lanka vs Canada (2003)

The second biggest win by balls remaining came in the 18th game of the 2003 World Cup when Canada took on Sri Lanka. Batting first, Canada was bundled out for just 36 runs after none of the batters were able to reach double figures. Chasing the target, Sri Lanka lost just one wicket as they won the game by nine wickets with 272 balls remaining in the clash.

The biggest win by balls remaining in ODI World Cup history came when Canada took on England in the eighth game of the tournament in 1979. Coming in to bat first, Canada was bundled out for just 45 runs with Franklyn Dennis as the highest run-getter with a score of 21 runs. Chasing it down, England lost two wickets in the process as they chased down and won the game in just 13.5 overs with 277 balls remaining.
