In the 2023 season, he continued his exceptional performances and took 21 wickets in 14 games, placing him among the top five wicket-takers of the season.

4. Piyush Chawla – 22 wickets

During the 2023 season, Piyush Chawla showcased his exceptional skills in delivering googlies and quicker ones. He managed to outplay some of the best batters in the game, making it a memorable season for both his team and himself. He took 22 wickets in just 16 games and is one of the bowlers that fans can look forward to in the upcoming season.

3. Rashid Khan – 27 wickets

Rashid Khan achieved the first hat-trick of the season against KKR. He dismissed Andre Russel, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur, but unfortunately, his team lost the game. Rinku Singh hit five sixes and led KKR to victory. Despite the loss, Rashid proved to be a valuable asset to his team, taking 27 wickets in just 17 games during the 2023 season. His performance helped his team reach the finals for the second consecutive year.

2. Mohit Sharma – 27 wickets

Mohit Sharma had a great tournament with 27 wickets in just 14 games using the same slower deliveries that he bowled during his peak. He was used in the second half of the game because he could bowl economically in the death overs. During the final when other bowlers like Shami and Rashid were being hit hard, Mohit Sharma was the one who bowled exceptionally well.

1. Mohammed Shami – 28 wickets

The star Indian fast paceman, while representing Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023, took 28 wickets in 17 matches. Shami not only emerged as the top wicket-taker of the tournament but also proved to be one of the most economical bowlers. He delivered two four-wicket hauls and his best figures of 4 for 11 came against Delhi Capitals, which helped Gujarat Titans secure a spot in the final of the IPL 2023.
