Hyderabad, Bangalore trade Mayank Dagar and Shahbaz Ahmed

In a major development ahead of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore have traded Mayank Dagar and Shahbaz Ahmed.

Shahbaz Ahmed was secured by Bangalore in the 2022 auction for INR 2.4 crore while Dagar joined Hyderabad for INR 1.8 crore in the same year. In the 16th season of the tournament, Dagar played three games for SRH but failed to make any imapct. He will hope for a different outcome when he takes centre stage for Bangalore.

Similarly, Ahmed played 10 games for Bangalore in 2022 but failed to make any good of his performances. An official announcement for the same trade is expected to come through by Sunday morning (November 26). Meanwhile, there have been other reports that ace spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and pacer Harshal Patel could also be excluded from the RCB squad for the upcoming season, however, no official confirmation has come forth as of yet.
