IPL 2023 Final looked like it was scripted by God: MS Dhoni
The summit clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has been widely revered as one of the greatest finals seen in recent times. Chennai Super Kings took on Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29.
Rain played spoilsport on several stages of the game, with the clash even being pushed to the reserve day. However, the game ended with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings grabbing the win and clinching their 5th IPL title.
Speaking of the same at the promotional event for the RIGI, skipper of Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni stated “IPL 2023 Final looked like it was scripted by God.”
MS Dhoni talked of India’s World Cup chances
At the same promotional event, MS Dhoni also talked of India’s chances to go all the way in the ODI World Cup 2023. Led by Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue are currently unbeaten in the tournament. Having played five games in the competition, India is yet to lose a game.
The side has faced off against the likes of Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand so far and has registered brilliant wins. Speaking of the same, MS Dhoni opined that the side looks very balanced and that every player being in form will surely help them.
“Understand the feeling. It’s a very good team. There’s a good balance on the team. Every player is doing well. Everything is looking very good. So, I won’t say much about it now; rest assured, the one who’s wise will grasp the hint provided,” MS Dhoni said.
Sitting in second place in the standings currently, India have 10 points in five games and are only behind South Africa, who have played one more game than the hosts. For their next assignment, team India will be going up against defending champions England. Both sides will face each other in the 29th game of the tournament on Sunday, October 29.
