PSL 2024: Haris Rauf ruled out of the tournament with shoulder dislocation

Lahore Qalandars’ quick Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine as he suffered an injury on his shoulder during a match against Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, February 24. The injury occurred in the game’s 20th over when Rauf landed awkwardly on his shoulder while making a superb catch to remove Hasan Ali. He hurt himself while landing on the ground, and it appeared that the catch was not made initially, but the third umpire ruled it out.

The 30-year-old was seen leaving the field with his arm strapped after experiencing severe discomfort. He then had scans to determine the severity of the damage. Following extensive assessment, the medical panel ruled that Rauf would need four to six weeks to recover, necessitating his absence from the rest of the PSL season.

“Haris Rauf, Pakistan and Lahore Qalandars’ premier fast bowler will be unavailable for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a narrow defeat against Karachi Kings last night,” the Qalandars said in a press release.
