Smriti Mandhana named Wisden’s Leading Cricketer in the World

Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana has been named the Leading Woman Cricketer in the World by the 2025 edition of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, cementing her status as one of the sport’s most influential figures. The accolade follows a remarkable 2024 season in which Mandhana scored five centuries-four in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their maiden Women’s Premier League (WPL) title. Notably, she became the first female cricketer to score four ODI centuries in a single year and recorded the most boundaries in women’s ODIs in 2024, with 95 fours and six sixes.
