Bangladesh and New Zealand locked horns in the third ODI of the three-match series on Tuesday, September 26 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. After opting to bat first, Bangladesh were bundled out for 171 with captain Najmul Hossain Shanto top-scoring with 76 (84). However, during the first innings, a video of wicketkeeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim trying to avoid the ball from hitting his stumps has gone viral all over social media.
The incident occurred on the first ball of the 16th over bowled by Lockie Ferguson as Mushfiqur Rahim defended a short delivery. However, the ball bounced inside the crease and ended up hitting the stumps. The wicketkeeper-batter tried his best to kick the ball away but couldn’t do it in time and lost his wicket.
