We will try to do everything we can to bring the trophy back again at Wankhede: Rohit Sharma on Champions Trophy

Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium celebrated its 50th anniversary in a grand event on Sunday, January 19. Several Mumbai legends including Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ravi Shastri marked their attendance to celebrate the feat. India ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma also made his presence felt.
Taking centre stage, Rohit opened up on his ambitions to lift the silverware in Dubai at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Indian skipper expressed that once the team wins the tournament, they will bring the trophy for a fan parade at the Wankhede Stadium similar to what they did with the T20 World Cup win in 2024.
“We will try our best (to win the Champions Trophy). I’m sure that the wishes of 140 crore Indians will be behind us when we land in Dubai for the Champions Trophy. We will try to do well and bring the Champions Trophy 2025 to the Wankhede Stadium (once we win),” Rohit said.
