People pay their tributes to Sachin Tendulkar on his birthday for his constant support

India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recently celebrated his birthday in his home (24th April). The Master Blaster had tested COVID-19 positive last month. He recovered from the illness with the help of the medical staff and the wishes pouring in from all over the world. In a short video released by him, Tendulkar thanked his well-wishers and also spread the message of plasma donation.

Many beneficiaries came forward to wish Tendulkar the best and also thank him for his generous charitable contributions. Spreading love silently, the Master Blaster has touched many hearts with his philanthropic work. Many of them shared their video messages on social media platforms to thank Tendulkar for his consistent efforts in improving their lives.

Vinayak Lohani, the founder of the Parivar Education Society, expressed his gratitude towards the SRT Foundation for helping Seva Kutirs in five villages of Madhya Pradesh. Children from the Parivar Education Society also thanked Tendulkar.

SRCC Hospital also extended their wishes towards the Indian legend. Around 100 children were helped by the donations made by the SRT foundation. The facility takes care of underprivileged children who cannot afford intensive care services.

Arun Kumar, the CEO of Apanalaya wished Tendulkar on the occasion of his birthday and thanked him for his continuous support of the disadvantaged people.

“Because of you, we have been able to spread our wings and reach out to children in Kolkata, Assam, Manipur, and even Visakhapatnam,” said Ameeta Chatterjee, managing trustee, Ekam Foundation.

Mr R Sundar and Mrs Usha Sundar from Hi5 Youth Foundation thanked Tendulkar for his continuous backing throughout the difficult times due to the COVID situation. They also gave an update on the newly-built Basketball stadium and improved facilities.

Famous bat-maker Aslam Chaudhary narrated his story about Tendulkar with teary eyes. The craftsman tested positive for COVID and was admitted to a hospital. He was then transferred to the Seven Hills Hospital and he came to know that Tendulkar was in constant touch with the doctors to enquire about Aslam’s health. Here’s his own account –

Dr Shajin from Makunda Hospital also expressed his gratitude for the timely help from the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation. “In the past, we used to manually hand ventilate a lot of sick children but now with the help of ventilators that are donated by you (Sachin), we are able to give quality care to the children who are coming to us,” Dr Shajin said in his video message.

Last but not the least, Dr Shekhar Bhojraj, President of the Centre for Study of Social Change (CSSC) also sent in a special message for Tendulkar. After wishing Tendulkar a happy birthday, Dr Bhojraj thanked Sachin, Mrs Anjali Tendulkar and the SRT Foundation for their generous contribution to social causes.
