While, de Villiers has amassed 294 runs in ten innings at an average of 36.75 with the highest score of 79*. His countryman du Plessis has amassed 374 runs in 14 innings at an average of 28.69 with the best score of 86. Meanwhile, in six innings, Simmons struck 211 runs with the best performance of 68 runs and at an average of 35.16.

Michael Hussey and Dwayne Smith (4)

Michael Hussey and Dwayne Smith both have smashed four half-centuries each in the knockouts of the IPL. In 11 innings, Hussey racked up 388 runs at an average of 38.80 with four fifties and the highest score of 86*. The Australian’s 63 runs along with Murali Vijay’s 95 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2011 final was crucial in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) winning their second title then.

On the other hand, Dwayne Smith has struck 351 runs in 11 innings at an average of 31.90 with the highest score of 73. He scored 62 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the second Qualifier in 2013 to take his Mumbai Indians (MI) side into the finals.

Suresh Raina has hammered the most half-centuries in the Playoffs in the league’s history. He also has the most runs to his name in these encounters. In 24 innings, Raina has mustered 714 runs at an average of 37.57 with seven fifties and the best score of 87. The left-handed batter played a vital hand of 57 off just 35 with three fours and as many maximums for CSK against MI in 2010 final which helped his team in lifting their maiden trophy. For his match and title-winning innings, he was declared the Player of the Match. The dashing batter also hit 73 in the 2012 final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but CSK failed to win that summit clash.
