Rashid Khan shares a message to his countrymen after Afghanistan’s win over Scotland

Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman sliced through the Scotland batting lineup to allow the Afghanistan side to crush their opposition by a whopping margin of 130 runs on 25th October 2021.

Afghanistan posted a huge total of 190/4 on the board, with Najibullah Zadran scoring a superb 34-ball 59. And with the ball, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan gobbled up 9 batsmen between them as Scotland was absolutely annihilated.

The Scotland side was bowled out for a paltry total of just 60, as the Mohammad Nabi-led Afghanistan side started their campaign in the Super 12 stages of the tournament on a rousing note.

And now, Afghanistan’s premier spinner Rashid Khan has written an emotional note for his countrymen following his team’s stupendous performance.

Khan tweeted that the Afghanistan side experienced a great start to the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup. The 23-year-old also added that Afghanistan’s win against Scotland will give his countrymen something to cheer about. Khan also tweeted that the prayers and support of his countrymen will play a key role for the Afghanistan side.

The Afghanistan side will next be seen in action on the cricket field on 29th October 2021, when they take on the Pakistan side at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Rashid Khan is arguably the greatest bowler to have represented the Afghanistan side in T20I cricket.

The leg spinner is currently the third-highest wicket-taker in T20Is and has scalped a staggering 99 wickets in 52 matches at a superb average of 12.21 and an incredible strike rate of 11.84. Khan has also scalped 2 five-wicket hauls in his T20I career as well.
